& Steel Mace Workouts!
Master Steel Club & Steel Mace Training in just 7-Days!
Overview
This exercise is a steel club movement but also works great with the steel mace. Like I said in the steel mace vs steel club section, two handed movements feel better with the mace than the club and this is a great example of that. I love single and double steel club mills but rarely ever use the club for two handed mills, I prefer two handed mills with the mace.
Here’s how to perform the steel mace two handed mill.
- Depending on your height and the length of your mace you might need to choke up with your grip a little, so the mace doesn’t hit the floor.
- Perform a steel mace 360 (see guidelines).
- Once you have the mace back into the rack, cast it off to the side and perform a 180 (see guidelines in steel club section).
- When you first begin performing this movement, I recommend stopping the mace in the rack position and having it under full control before casting it away again.
- Once you have full control you can cast the mace immediately after the 360 performing one seamless milling movement.
Common Problems & Solutions
Error: Do not try to go too fast with this movement and let poor form slip in.
Correction: Follow all the instructions listed in the 360 and 180 videos.
